In 2004, LILLE Was the European capital of culture . Since then, many events have been organised in the metropolis, former factories transformed into culture spaces, called « les maisons folies « host now all kind of exhibitions

The Maire ( Martine Aubry ) surfed on the wave and until then, every 3 years, there is a new event , with a new theme, all around the metropolis.

TIPS AND RECOMMANDATION LILLE METROPOLIS

- If you want to see a 380 ° view of the town for free, go inside « le printemps « mall, then take the lift until last floor, you’ll find an empty parking place with free view on LillE
